Permanent Student Records (PSR)

A Permanent Student Record (PSR) is a the Ministry-required record documenting a student's educational history in the BC public school system including courses taken, absences, schools attended, and graduation status. The PSR is kept for 55 years after the last day enrolled.

Current students and former students may obtain a Permanent Student Record (PSR) from the school they currently attend or last attended. To request a PSR, submit a signed Authorization to Release Student Records Form to the school. Requests must be authorized by the student if they are 19 years of age or older, or by the parent/legal guardian of a student under 19 years of age.

Official Letters

Current students and former students may request an official letter confirming their address, attendance, or registration at a Langley School District school.

To request an official letter, submit a signed Authorization to Release Student Records Form to the school. The form must be signed by the student if they are 19 years of age or older, or by the parent/legal guardian of a student under 19 years of age.

Third-Party / Lawyer Requests

Student records are maintained by the last school attended by the student. Third-party requests, including requests from legal representatives, require written authorization from the student (if 19 years of age or older) or the parent/legal guardian of a student under 19 years of age. A signed Authorization to Release Student Records Form must be submitted to the school.
