The District is excited to be opening a new middle school and secondary school in the Smith neighbourhood in the Willoughby Slope in fall 2027. The District is consulting with the community about potential catchment boundary changes that could impact students attending a middle and secondary school in the Willoughby Slope now and in the future. The potential catchment boundary changes will also impact transition plans for elementary feeder schools. The District welcomes all families in the Willoughby Slope to be informed and take part in the process.

The first round of meetings is intended to share the process, timelines, and gather preliminary feedback from families. Your feedback at this stage in the process is essential in helping shape potential options. No proposed boundary changes will be outlined during this round of meetings. Meetings are expected to be one hour, but may run longer depending on questions from the community.

The second round of meetings is intended to share any proposed change(s), answer questions, and gather additional feedback from families.

Once proposed changes are finalized and approved by the Board of Education, the new changes will be shared with all school communities.

The District encourages all families in the R.E. Mountain Secondary family of schools to attend an info session.

Families are welcome to attend any of the first round meetings below:
