Willoughby Slope Catchments Information Sessions Update

The District is excited to be opening a new middle school and secondary school in the Smith neighbourhood in the Willoughby Slope in fall 2027. The District is consulting with the community about future catchment boundary changes that could impact students attending a middle and secondary school in the Willoughby Slope now and in the future. The catchment boundary changes will also impact transition plans for elementary feeder schools. The District welcomes all families in the Willoughby Slope to be informed and take part in the process.

The District has completed the first round of consultation meetings to help plan the boundaries for the new middle and secondary schools in the Smith region. 

The second round of meetings has now been scheduled and will begin the week of February 23 and is intended to share any proposed change(s), answer questions, and gather additional feedback from families.

Once proposed changes are finalized by the District and approved by the Board of Education, the new changes will be shared with all school communities.
