Halloween Creativity Across Langley Schools
From Scooby Doo to the Spice Girls, staff across the Langley School District proved their creativity and passion for dressing up. There were many unique DIY ideas and costume themes worn by students, staff, and parent volunteers.
Fun activities took place on the Friday before Halloween. Some schools held traditional costume parades, pumpkin carving workshops, spooky movie showings, and dance parties.
At Glenwood Elementary, a Trunk and Treat has become an annual tradition. The interactive event led by the school PAC has parents/guardians decorate their trunks, fill them with treats, and welcome students. The event has grown every year all thanks to the help of families that volunteer their time to run the event and hand out candy.
At the school board office, staff were handing out candy and chocolates to Kindergarten students from Parkside Centennial Elementary. It was just as fun for the students as it was for the staff. Thereafter, a staff showed off their costumes as part of the annual contest and were hands-on taking part in games.
