This has been a year defined by collaboration, care, and a shared commitment to supporting each and every student.

On behalf of the Board, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to our students, staff, families, and community partners. Thank you for your ongoing collaboration and support as we continue working toward the goals of the Strategic Plan and the Framework for Enhancing Student Learning (FESL), which guide us in fostering student success.

We are also grateful to everyone who continues to walk alongside us on our collective journey of Truth and Reconciliation. This work remains a priority, and together we are committed to ensuring our actions reflect the understanding that “Every Child Matters.” I want to highlight that this year’s graduating class represents an important milestone - they are the first group of students to have experienced all 13 years of their education recognizing Orange Shirt Day. We are honoured to see our grads help lead the way in reconciliation in Langley and beyond. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our graduates and look forward to seeing the many ways they will continue to contribute to the community.

This year also brought continued progress in addressing growth across our District. In September, we expect to see new completed classrooms as part of the addition at Langley Secondary. We look forward to continuing to plan a new addition at RE Mountain Secondary which was announced earlier in the spring. As our District continues to grow, the Board remains committed to advocating for the spaces needed to meet enrolment demands.

Lastly, as many of our staff enjoy a well-earned break, we recognize that other staff will continue working behind the scenes to prepare for the new school year. From our education staff running summer session, to our operations staff completing projects in time for September, we are grateful for all that they do for our students. As we head into summer, we wish everyone a safe, restful, and relaxing break.
