YCMS Student Wins Health Talks Contest

February 16, 2017

Yorkson Creek Middle School student Jorri Gosse won the Health Talks Contest held by the BC Patient Safety and Quality Council and now has the opportunity to present at the upcoming Quality Forum 2017. Jorri heard about the contest and was inspired to share her personal connections on the topic of ‘chronic pain’. In her efforts to bring awareness and support to those suffering from chronic pain, Jorri wrote an emotional essay describing the struggles in her family as her father copes with chronic pain after an injury. Though she is currently in grade 6, clearly Jorri is well on her way to pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse.
