The ELL Department supports programs for immigrant parents entitled “Parents As Literacy Supporters” to assist them in helping their children with literacy development.

Later to Literacy Program
The School District has recently established a “later to literacy” program at Langley Secondary School to support recent non-English speaking refugees from who have not had previous opportunities to receive formal education. This program is intended for students ages 16-18 who need support with learning basic literacy, numeracy, and employability skills.
