West Langley receives IKEA furniture donation

IKEA donated approximately $4000 in product to help West Langley refurnish the Resource Room in a manner that would be more calming for students and adults. Volunteers from the PAC executive worked with the Resource Team to determine what the space could be like, and worked with a designer from IKEA to make it happen. Resource teacher Mrs. Keck envisioned a space where students with special needs and typical students could work together in an area that encouraged quiet collaboration, and where several small groups could work comfortably at once. The room provides a calm retreat for any student (or adult) who needs it.
