Training our Minds, Bodies, and Spirits: District Pro-D Day

May 3, 2019

It was a busy pro-D day Friday with activities taking place all over the District. Here are some highlights of the opportunities available to teachers and staff to help train their minds, bodies and spirits!

CUPE 1851 employees started off their Wellness Day with a group photo and a Mental Health Literacy presentation from Mary Krische and Shelly Fritz.

At R.C. Garnett’s Demonstration Day, teachers were risk takers, using current research in education to try new and innovative lessons.

At R.E. Mountain, teachers all dressed in hard hats and safety vests, took a tour of the new school which is still under construction.

Other amazing events which took place include the Literacy Summitt at Langley Meadows Elementary, CUPE 1260 speaker’s sessions at the school board office, and first aid training.

It’s a great time to say a big thank you to all teachers, staff and administration for all your hard work on continuing to help make the District an innovative, inspiring, and unified learning community.
