Shortreed brings Christmas cheer to the community with pancakes and Santa
December 6, 2019
Every year, the Shortreed Community comes together for their annual community pancake breakfast. It is one of many pancake breakfasts that happens across the district. The event may have started at 8 AM, but parents and kids were lined up out the door by 7:30. The gym was crowded and filled with laughter.
Shortreed staff did an amazing job of getting into the Christmas spirit. Principal Chris Wejr could been seen from across the gym in his glittering decorative sweater. Teachers helped to prepare, cook, and serve the breakfast for the entire school’s community, students and families.
They joyfully handed over delicious breakfast sausages, heaps of pancakes, and poured syrup. Food was donated by the school.
Santa even joined the festivities, and kids lined around the gym to have the opportunity to sit with him.
Thank you Shortreed staff for providing an amazing Christmas community opportunity for our kids and families! You bring smiles to so many kids faces.
