LFAS student recognized with Youth Environmental Hero Award

Desiree Chek-Harder was recognized as an Environmental Hero in the Youth category in the 10th annual ceremony. Started by Langley-Aldergrove MP Mark Warawa, the Environmental Hero awards are meant to recognize the work of those that give their time and energy to environmental stewardship in Langley.

Desiree is very involved in the Fort Langley Community Garden and believes that it is important to educate young people about nature, the environment and sustainable development.
