Langley success at Concours – French Public Speaking Competition

Thirteen students from Langley went on to represent the district in the pan-provincial Concours — French Public Speaking Competition. Three of those students took top places in the competition:

Maya from James Kennedy — 2nd place (Grade 7) “’Tu joues comme une fille,’ pourquoi c’est in compliment”

Jennifer from Brookswood — 3rd place (Grade 9) “La peur”

Hannah from Brookswood — 2nd place (Grade 12) “La juvenoïa”

The finals took place on May 5 in Surrey.

Students in French Immersion programs from grades 6 to 12 had first participated in school speeches, then moved on to district competitions. From there they then competed in the provincial competition.
