Langley student winner of Rotary International Adventures in Citizenship Award

IMG_1902.JPGJordyn Laird was the only student sponsored in Langley to take part in the Rotary International Adventures in Citizenship Awards and was provided an all-expenses trip to our nation’s parliament buildings to meet with other young people and leaders of our country. Learning about democratic operations with political leaders – including a meet with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau – the students get a big picture view of what it means to be a Canadian citizen and the privileges and responsibilities that go along with that. Jordyn was chosen based on her essay entitled “What Does Being a Canadian Citizen Mean to You?
