Inspired Student Now Inspires Others

Alex Hope student Emily remembers being in the audience at a Terry Fox assembly two years ago when teacher Sherilyn Swayne cut her hair to donate to an organization that makes wigs for cancer patients – this year, she’s the one getting a haircut! Emily had admired the actions of Ms Swayne and few other young students and has been growing her hair long for the express purpose of donating it when the time came. Emily is truly representing the Langley School District core values of courage, integrity and community!
