Information Release: Changes to the Langley Board of Education

On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, the Board of Education held an election to determine a new Chair and Vice-Chair for the remainder of the term, as per Policy 1204. The Board elected Trustee Rod Ross as the new Chair. Trustee David Tod was acclaimed as Vice-Chair. The Board welcomes Chair Rod Ross and are pleased to continue to work with Trustee David Tod in his role as Vice-Chair.

On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, Secretary-Treasurer Brian Iseli announced and acknowledged the resignation of Trustee Megan Dykeman as she embarks on her new role as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Langley East. Her resignation took effect at the end of the day on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

On behalf of the District, Superintendent Gord Stewart thanked Trustee Megan Dykeman for her many years of service to the students, staff and families in the Langley School District. He shared words of encouragement and expressed confidence the work in her new role will benefit the Langley education system.

The Board of Education will continue to work together to make Langley an innovative, inspiring and unified learning community.
