Foundation Gala raises more than $70k

The gala was held on June 5 on a glorious sunny day at Thunderbird Show Park during the National Cup Horse Jumping Competition. Featuring horses and riders from around the world, the equestrian event was one of the top three on the international circuit. Seated on the patio right next to the track, the 250 guests munched on gourmet hors d’oeuvres and tasted award-winning wines. They participated in the silent auction and in contests to win a dazzling set of diamond earrings. The event raised more than $70,000 with net proceeds going to support the Foundation’s Food for Thought Campaign that provides breakfasts, lunches, snacks and weekend food to hungry students throughout the district.
