A Message from the Langley Board of Education: Welcome Back!

September 7, 2021

On behalf of the Langley Board of Education, we want to welcome back all our returning students, new students, and families to the start of another school year. We hope you all had a chance to connect and create memories with loved ones over the summer. We are entering the school year with more optimism than this time last year, but we understand the anxiety around COVID-19 remains in the community. We want to assure families that the District will continue to meet all COVID-19 guidelines as required by the province and public health authorities. We are confident in our students, staff, and families and their ability to work together to keep each other healthy and safe.

Our staff in many departments have been working hard over the summer months making improvements to our facilities, from freshly painted gymnasiums to IT upgrades. The District has completed many projects to help create a positive learning environment for our students. We are also thrilled to be opening the new Donna Gabriel Robins Elementary on the Willoughby Slope. We are proud and grateful to be a part of this growing community.

As we head back to class, we wish you all a successful 2021-2022 school year.

Thank you,

Rod Ross, Chair

Langley Board of Education
