- Boilers from 250,000 to 4,200,000 btu’s
Ventilation
All equipment that provide ventilation:
- Air Handling Units (AHU)
- Unit Ventilators
- Exhaut Fan of all kinds
Air Conditioning
All equipment that provides cooling:
- Windows Type
- Split Type
- Central Type (Dry)
- Chiller Type
Direct Digital Controls (DDC)
These are the types of DDC in the district:
- Delta Controls
- Reliable Controls
Natural & Propane Gas
We are responsible for all gas piping to:
- Boilers
- Rooftop units
- Make-up air units
- Gas fired ventilators
- Duct Heaters
- Furnances
- Portables
Filters
We are responsible for ventilation filtration:
- MERV-13 air filters
Replaced every 6 months.
Paint Department
The Paint Department is responsible for all the interior and exterior painting of our facilities. We always use environmentally friendly materials whenever possible and our interior paints are almost odorless and specifically designed for use in schools and hospitals.
Interior painting
We are responsible for the following:
- All interior painting
- Cabinet and furniture shop spraying
- All drywall repairs
- Lining and finishing of gym floors
- Lining chalkboards and whiteboards
- Graphics and logos
- Special finishes
Exterior painting
We are responsible for the following:
- All exterion painting
- Graffiti removal – All drywall repairs
- Pressure washing
- Signage
- Sandblasting
Our District has approximately 45 facilities to maintain and we try to prioritize a fair and prompt service. The painting of our facilities is not for beautification alone. Sanitizing and protection of wood and other substrates is also crucial for a healthy school.
We feel that it is necessary to limit color choices for our facilities. There are many reasons for this, such as limited storage space, cost savings, speed and ease of touch-up and with graffiti removal.

Domestic Hot Water Systems
- Piping and recirculation plumbing

- Septic fields

- Sewage treatment plants (we have two sites in this district)
- Grease traps and acid neutralizing tanks
Storm Sewer
- Piping
- Rain water leaders
Building Fire Sprinklers
- Maintenance and repair
- Service, testing and record keeping
Irrigation
- Piping and controls
- Winterizing and spring start up
Gas Fitting
- High and low pressure piping
- Science lab gas
- Combustion air requirements
Certification Requirements
- Interprovincial plumbing trade qualification (T.Q.)
- “B” gas certification
- American Waste Water Association (A.W.W.A.) Cross connection control certification
- Environmental Operation Certification Program (E.O.C.P) Small water systems certification
- Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia (A.S.T.T.B.C.) Certification for fire sprinkler maintenance
