Patrick Thomas recognized with The Senate 150 Medal for National Unsung Heroes

The Senate 150 Medal for National Unsung Heroes is an award given out by Canadian Senators recognizing individuals who, according to Senator Yonah Martin, “what you do every day to better the lives of others.”

Principal at Vanguard Secondary, Patrick Thomas, was a recipient of the award last November. He received the award with ceremony from the Senate, with a booklet outlining the achievements of all those who received the award this year.

According to the booklet, Patrick Thomas was recognized for being a “internationally reputed authority on educating and empowering the most vulnerable and disenfranchised youth…”.
