Say “oui” to French at Brookswood!

May 10, 2017

Grade 8 Core French and French Immersion students from Mme Spori’s class visited the Greater Vancouver Zoo to learn about our social responsibilities to our planet.  Students were tasked with completing a range of creative assignments, including describing a hybrid animal and designing an ideal zoo.  Both parent supervisors and zoo staff were impressed by students’ mature behaviour and inquisitive minds.

To date, BSS is the only high school to “brave” these visits and we can be proud that students take responsibility for their learning and engage so willingly. Team-building and cultural outings this year have included trips to Cora Restaurant, Krause Berry Farms, the Olympic Oval in Richmond to watch the world championships for fencing and skating at George Preston Arena. Thanks to the parents & former FI grad who joined us as chaperones.
